Learn how Collectiv works in plain language. The glossary explains abbreviations and product terms.

Getting Started

Getting started

Learn how your account, membership and chosen operating world fit together.

Your sign-in, membership and each action are checked separately.

Seeing a button or page does not always mean the action is available. When an action is unavailable, Collectiv should explain why.

Updated guidance · version 2

Marketplace and Assets

Marketplace and assets

Understand collectible listings, fractional interests and when marketplace actions are available.

Each operating world shows only the assets and activity that belong to it.

Market hours and feature access are separate. An open market does not turn on an unavailable action.

Updated guidance · version 2

Values and community accuracy checks

Understand CVE, CRV, VAC, VAS and CVAS without confusing them with sale prices.

CVE is the approved valuation process, and CRV is the current reference value it produces for an eligible collectible.

VAC is a community YES or NO accuracy check. VAS summarizes the result for one asset, while CVAS summarizes qualifying current results across the marketplace. These checks do not change CRV, pricing or ownership.

Updated guidance · version 1

Marketplace Intelligence

Understand mode-specific marketplace health and balance information.

Marketplace Intelligence, also called MI, measures each operating world separately.

It provides information only. It cannot move money, change ownership, set a collectible's value or turn on a marketplace feature.

Updated guidance · version 1

Initial Buyout offer allowance

Collectors may start up to ten Buyout offers in a rolling seven-day period.

Only an accepted, funded first offer uses one allowance.

A denied or failed attempt does not use an allowance. Raising your own qualifying offer in the same Buyout does not use another one.

Canceling, rejection or expiration does not return an allowance early. It becomes available naturally after seven days.

Updated guidance · version 2

Ownership and Portfolio

Ownership and Portfolio

Learn what MSI means and how ownership appears in your Portfolio and Registry.

MSI is the platform's unit of ordinary fractional interest in an eligible collectible.

Your Portfolio and Ownership Registry display existing records. Viewing them does not create ownership or move money.

Updated guidance · version 2

Originator and ORI

Understand the person connected to an originated asset and the interest they retain.

An Originator is the person or eligible Business connected to a collectible when it enters the approved Originator Program.

ORI is the Originator's retained interest. It is separate from ordinary MSI and cannot be sold, transferred or traded.

Updated guidance · version 1

Money, Membership and Payouts

Money, membership and payouts

Learn the difference between buying power, membership, withdrawals and Business Store proceeds.

Buying power, money eligible for withdrawal and Store proceeds are separate balances with separate rules.

A displayed balance does not by itself permit a purchase, withdrawal or payout. Demo and Simulation buying power is virtual and cannot leave its test world.

Updated guidance · version 2

Community and Trade Night

Community and Trade Night

Learn what Collectivs, chats and Trade Night allow.

A Collectiv is a community. Joining one or chatting does not create ownership, set a value or permit a trade.

Trade Night entry, chat access and Portfolio Trades are checked separately.

Updated guidance · version 2

Account, Privacy and Safety

Account, privacy and safety

Understand profile visibility, blocking and account safety.

Profile search respects account status, privacy choices, blocks and protections for Child accounts.

Private money, ownership and account information is not made public through profile search.

Updated guidance · version 2

Real / Demo / Simulation

Real, Demo and Simulation

Understand the three separate operating worlds.

Real is the production world. Its money, ownership and activity remain separate from both test worlds.

Demo is a controlled test experience. Its cards may be presentation examples, and its virtual funds and activity create no Real ownership or obligation.

Simulation is a virtual marketplace world for human testers and simulated participants. Its cards, funds, activity and results have no Real monetary value.

Access to one world does not grant access to another. Collectiv checks your access each time you enter.
